CWS Hired by DPR for Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding Window Film Installation Project

HEARNDON, Va. – Commercial Window Shield has been hired by DPR Construction for a Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding installation project in suburban Washington, D.C.

The project, for Honeywell, involves in installing the RF Shielding film on all the exterior windows of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility [SCIF] space DPR will be constructing on one floor of a building at 12950 Worldgate Dr. in Hearndon, Va.

Honeywell is one of the world’s largest aerospace; building automation; performance materials and technologies; and safety productivity and solutions companies.

Given the high-security nature of some of Honeywell’s client work and an increase in cybercrime, the building of a SCIF space that includes RF film for companies like Honeywell is no surprise.

The RF film blocks would-be cyber thieves from stealing sensitive information on computer and mobile phones screens located in the SCIF space.

The project is expected to begin in early 2025.

Commercial Window Shield is one of the leading installers of Radio Frequency [RF] Shielding film, a growing sector in the window film market.

Commercial Window Shield and DPR, based in Redwood City, Calif., have worked on a number of projects involving various window film installation projects.

Over the years, Commercial Window Shield has worked with some of the country’s leading general contractors on window film installation projects of all kinds.  In addition to DPR, the company frequently works with Bognet, rand, DAVIS, HITT, SPG, D/Watts, Harvey-Cleary and Gilbane Building Co.

Commercial Window Shield is a leading installer of safety and security, solar control, decorative/privacy, switchable smart and bird safety window films as well as RF window films.

Since 1985, Commercial Window Shield clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
